As a beginning artist you'll first be introduced to drawing/sketching using graphite, charcoal, ink, pastels, and colored pencils. From this foundation you'll progress into painting with oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Then, once a thorough understanding of these subjects has been reached, you'll really get your hands dirty with additive and subtractive sculpting techniques using clay, plaster and stone.
Materials for the lessons will be provided upon registration for a cost. If you would prefer to purchase them yourself, please just ask for a detailed materials list when registering for your lessons.
Currently, class sessions meet weekly for one hour. To ensure proper attention is given to all, no more than four students are scheduled for each class session. Your first four lessons are only $10 each (hopefully this will give you an opportunity to decide if they're a good fit for you!) After your first four lessons, then the established rate of
$15 per lesson will become effective.
